MENTAL [Chapter One]

“Hey guys, did you hear?” an excited Kaiju asked. “What?” Rin and Haru asked in unison. “THEY HAVE SESAME BEEF ON THIS CRUISE!!!” yelled Kaiju. “Okay…?” said Haru, who forgot about Kaiju’s love for meat. “Wait, I forgot, where are we planning to go anyway?” asked Rin.  “Japan?” Kaiju asked. “SOUTH KOREA!!!” Haru blurted. Rin and Kaiju just glared at Haru. Haru looked confused. “This cruise is actually heading to Europe.” “Who said that?” asked Kaiju. She suddenly looked behind her to see a smiling woman standing next to her. “Oh, hi there” said Rin. The woman just walked away. “Was that like an assistant or something?” Haru said. Rin and Kaiju shrugged. The three cousins split up to explore the cruise ship. Rin, with her love of anime and manga, went looking for book stores hoping that there would be manga books. Haru, on the other hand, went to buy Kpop CDs, but failed to find anything. Meanwhile, on the skydeck, Kaiju just stands by railing and notices something strange. It was about 2:00 PM and it was unusually dark and cloudy. “That’s strange.”Kaiju muttered. “It’s usually sunny in the summer…” she thought. “Maybe it’s just a little cloudy is all.”
